Charles the Strong Man (2015)
Apr. 5th, 2026 11:48 amBack in 2015 I wanted to design a character inspired by carnival sideshows in the 1930s and landed on this creation of Charles the Strong Man.

I decided that I wanted to try and bring him to life in the form of a doll. Now, I'd never made a doll before, but figured it would be a fun experiement, and while I ran into problems along the way and it didn't end up looking the way I'd hoped, I was still happy with how he turned out. Considering I'd never embroidered anything before and followed exactly zero tutorials, I'd say I did pretty dang good.

Unfortunately, like most of my physical creations, he no longer exists, but I'm happy I have photos of him to look back on even if they're not the best quality.
